black and white images
I have been experimenting with converting some of the photographs of historical sites on my travels into black and white - with a view to getting them printed out as A4's later on.
The process involved in obtaining an acceptable image is somewhat more complex than I imagined, although I I well aware that the powerful black and white photographs from the 19th and 20th centuries took hours of work in the darkroom.
